Hi my names Dan Scott and I live in the south Leicester area. The Historic city of Leicester is a bustling univercity town with plenty to do and see. The architecture is varied from Roman remains, middle age thatch buildings, ancient churches through to post modern structures-something for everyone.
Leicester has come on in leaps and bounds since my youth and in my view much for the better-with pedestrian shopping areas opening up the center of town, which makes it more relaxing and a better shopping experience. The new Curve theatre, John Lewis department store and the Space centre add a highly refreshing modern asthetic loved by many.
The covered market, Phoenix arts, Highcross, Victoria park, Leicester racecourse, Bradgate park, Walker stadium add great landmarks, entertainment and buzz to this up to the minute vibrant city. Check out the video on the home page-all my own photos with a few personal favorites too!
Leicester’s nightlife and entertainment is impressive with a wide choice of theatres, cinemas, nightclubs, live music venues and bars for a town of this size. There is also a vast selection of restaurants to suit everyone’s tastes, including British, Italian, Indian and Middle Eastern food.
